Call for Volunteer Candidates for the 2022 Board of Directors.
Annual General Meeting and Little League Board Elections will be held on September 15, 2021.
Hello once again! And welcome to the 2022 Little League Season! We begin planning for the Spring fun during the Fall and Winter & we need your help and your ideas! More Board members are needed! It’s fun to be part of making a positive well-rounded program for our boys & girls who are 4-15 years old. Can you help?
What is the role of a Board member? The main thing is that members should be ‘big picture’ people who can work together to make our program the best it can be for all involved, at every age and ability. To be a Board member the minimum time commitment is attendance at one monthly evening meeting from Sept to May. The Board creates local program policies, operations decisions, as well as planning fun activities and events, developing resources for coaches and players, and many other areas. There are many opportunities to use your talents, interests, wisdom and creativity for improvement of the League.
More detailed information about the types of volunteering opportunities available for you will be coming out in the next few days. Watch for announcements and website communications. Remember, you do not need to have any specialized baseball background or skills to be a part of this wonderful program. What we are about is kids and community first!
We hope you can help our League begin its 65th year in this community with energy, enthusiasm and the strong leadership that you, our volunteers, can provide. Join the Board, make it happen!
Becoming a Board Member is simple: Please submit a brief written candidate's statement for the 2022 Board election to the League President. Your statement will be published on the website and shared in advance of the membership voting at the Board election.
Please tell us about yourself, your interests and abilities, experience, and anything that will let the membership understand what you might have to offer to the kids and also what you would like the League to offer to you. Being a Board member is an awesome experience!
Deadline for Candidate statements is September 13, 8 pm for publication on our website and the Ballot. Voting will be at the Annual General Meeting on September 15, 2021 at 7:30 PM. Remote meeting details will be announced soon.
